It was a day we had all been waiting for. You could almost touch the anticipation for the day, as hours turned into minutes, and minutes into seconds.
On 1st of May 2016, Life Issues Ministry celebrated three years since its inception. It was a moment too look back, see the far the Lord had taken us from, and strategize on the way ahead. We began the Service at exactly 9am. Taking us off, the Praise & Worship Team led us in a session of singing and prayer. The song variety was rich, as we enjoyed a mix of both Local Swahili Melodies and International English Christian tunes.
The song: “Hallelujah Aeeee, Hallelujah Aeeee; Nitamuimbia, Amenitendea, Hallelujah…aaaaaaaaa…” seemed to be the people’s favorite for the Day.
Immediately after, we had a brief session for testimonies from friends who are members or who have supported us one time or another. Listening to the testimonies, allowed us enjoy a glimpse of how the three years was like. This session was concluded by the oration by Rev Kabocho.
Our Guest Minister, Bshp. Dr. Mbatia (Deliverance Church-THIKA) then took us through “LIVING A LIFE OF DESTINY”. He challenged each one of us to take care that we don’t leave this earth without fulfilling our Destinies. It was a great honor to have Bshp. Mbatia and his wife grace our occasion.
Finally, we could not wrap up the event without having some food. We had a cake cutting session to commemorate this landmark in the ministry. Our friends from the Street were, first to share in the cake and then everyone else had a piece. Food was in plenty, and all ate to their fill.
With that said, I’m sure words may fail me at this time to say more. But where sentences could not explain, please enjoy the YouTube slideshows below for as they say, “Pictures are worth a Thousand words.” Thank you for all who graced our event and may the Lord God Bless you abundantly. SHALOM.
